Boomer has opinions about the spoken word…

“Curated.”

I won’t belabor it. It should be more than obvious by now. Should return to use only in connection with the organization of exhibitions of fine art.

“Like.”

Used every other word or every few words by a certain generation or two or three (often spreading plague-like to their parents). These people are going to be speaking this way in their arguments to the Supreme Court, their presidential inauguration addresses, their Nobel Prize acceptance speeches. Fourscore and like seven years ago our forefathers like brought forth like on this continent, like a new nation, conceived in like Liberty, and dedicated like . . .

“Gut.”

The proliferation of the word. I don’t have much more to add except, why?

Yes, I know: “OK Boomer, get back in your, like, cage.”
